Bulk Milk Chiller 500 litres BMC-500
The Ice Make BMC-500 is a 500-litre bulk milk chiller for dairy farms and milk collection points - a horizontal AISI 304 stainless steel tank on a stand, with the air-cooled condensing unit mounted underneath.
Cooling is direct expansion through a dimple-jacket evaporator forming the base and sides of the tank, so refrigerant works straight against the milk-contact surface. A full batch drops from milking temperature to 4 °C in five hours, and the insulation then holds it: lose power and the milk rises no more than 3 °C over twelve hours.
It runs single-phase at 2.7 kW, so no three-phase connection is needed - a real advantage at rural collection points. Give it a dedicated circuit: running current is 13-14 A and compressor inrush is several times that.
500 litre AISI 304 tank, welded, polished and sloped to the drain. Direct-expansion cooling through a dimple-jacket evaporator. 37 to 4 °C in 5 hours, then holds 12 hours unpowered. Timer-controlled agitator - 1 minute in every 15. 230 V single phase - no three-phase supply required. Dip-stick and calibration chart supplied.
